The Shot is a visceral return to the moment for those who saw the shot, and marker of history for those who didn’t. Stylized imagery, a gripping montage, and a hypnotic music score will merge with a personal monologue, a rhapsody to that indelible sports moment.

S.M. Turrell
Sean “S.M.” Turrell is a 2020 TIFF Filmmaker Lab alumnus, and a Juno and MuchMusic Video Award-winning director of more than 100 music videos for artists including Michael Bublé, Good Charlotte, Billy Talent, Hawksley Workman, Lights, and Sum 41.
His television credits include Falling for a Killer for Amazon Prime, and Gemini Award-winning The National Parks Project. His short films include Follow — co-produced by Rhombus Media — and Odessa, the Grand Jury Prize winner of the Gasparilla and Santa Fe Film Festivals. He is in development with the semi-autobiographical, Rock ‘N’ Roll Ruined My Life, and the northern thriller, In the Blood of Wolves.
Sean is a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario via his mother.
